⭐️Note: Before you click the link given in this resource to make a copy of the Google Slides™, be sure that you are signed into your school Google account. If you are logged into your personal account, the copy of this resource will appear there, and not in the drive for your school account.

  • Before assigning the slides, you will probably want to make of copy of the resource so you can have a master copy with all the pages. You may find that you don’t want to assign all the pages, or you might want to split them up into different assignments.
  • Go to your class on Google Classroom™ and click the classwork tab.
  • Click the create button. You will see a dropdown menu; select “Assignment.”
  • Give your assignment a title and any instructions you want to give your students about the assignment.
  • Click the add button located below the instructions box and select “Google Drive.”
  • Find and select the document you want to assign to your students.
  • You should now see the link for that document with a dropdown menu that will probably have by default: “students can view file.” This is very important: You need to click the arrow and select “Make a copy for each student,” this will allow them to work on their own copy of the slide.
  • Now you can add other information about the assignment, such as points and due date.
  • Once everything looks correct, click Assign
